Brief Bio
Dr. Said GACI received a B.S. with honors, a M.Sc. and a PhD in geophysics from University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene (Algiers). He also received a M.Sc. in Petroleum economics and strategic management from Algerian Petroleum Institute. He works at Sonatrach- Division Exploration as a senior geophysicist. His research interests are the application of advanced signal processing techniques in geosciences.

SCOPE
This session is devoted to present the newest methods of signal processing and pattern recognition developed for the need of oil and gas industry. It covers the following topics and other relevant issues: seismic (high resolution 3-D seismic; -passive seismic; 4-D time-lapse imaging, etc.), tomography, high-resolution gravity and aero-magnetic surveys, remote sensing, etc.
